Give us a small introduction about yourself.
Ben: Hello I am Benbe "The Hero" Kirax I have been with Virtual Wrestling Entertainment since its founding over four years ago. I initially was brought on to be a commentator and as voice talent for the company. After a few months of working as a commentator one of the nights I wanted to help out more and began training under Akasha Faulkes and was also helped with ring psychology by Seth Cameron, eventually I adopted the persona of "The Hero" and it has stuck with me ever since. I eventually went on to win a few belts and have some fantastic matches including the likes of Seth, Brakman Wylder, Bryce Ketterly and a number of others who I greatly respect. Now as it stands I am retired from the ring and serve as the Chairman for Virtual Wrestling Entertainment and still work on commentary.
If you have a Stage/Nickname, how did you come about it?
I am The Hero (sometimes Legendary Hero) and it started off when I in talks with what my character should be that it should basically be my personality squared, and the persona of The Hero just kind of came out in all the discussions and designs of what my character was going to be.
Now later on Legendary was added after I was put into the hall of fame/legend category.
How did you find out about Second Life and made you join?
Well I was with a group of friends who included Seth Cameron and Tyress The Nova Serevi Parkin and looking to just hang out with them and have fun.
When we went to second life it was a nice hang out and gave us the ability to do things until we discovered Second Life wrestling and it went from there.
How did you find out about SL Wrestling and how did you come to join it?
Well it was when the same group who brought me into Second Life to begin with decided to see if they could bring in a new federation in SL and I was asked to be voice talent to start with.
What made you decide to join SL Wrestling?
Well it seemed like a fun thing to do and I being a voice actor loved to have a project and wanted to flex my vocal cords to see what they could pull off...though initially I knew nothing about wrestling aside from a few persona's names from real life wrestling and seeing about...two episodes of WWE when I was younger.
How long have you been in SL wrestling?
Ever since Virtual Wrestling Entertainment was created over 4 years ago.
What federations have you been in?
Officially I've have always served in Virtual Wrestling Entertainment though I have worked as a commentator on occasion for other feds if asked. In the past anyway.
Who was your trainer(s)?
Akasha Faulkes primarily taught me the system and most of the primary points of wrestling while Seth Cameron helped me in ring psychology and character development.
Who did you face in your first SL wrestling match and what was the result?
It was Tony "Da" Tiger and I ended up losing that first match but it was a very fun match to participate in.
What color(s) are your in-ring attire?
My colors go along with my lion logo are blue, white and black.
What is the name of your finishers, and what are they?
I have the Heroic DDT which is a DDT, A rarely used Heroic Ending which was actually a gord buster, and then I also would use a Superplex as well.
What do you think makes your character special?
I just think that what I bring from myself really is that Benbe is pretty much as I said my personality just...larger, so I think people seem to enjoy the genuine nature of Benbe.
What have you accomplished in SL wrestling?
I've been a multiple golden rope award winner, I've won the United States belt a couple of times, participated in many of the first of specialty matches including the cage match, the ladder match, and the iron man match. Including a Championship Iron Man match, I have also been a multi-time World Heavy Weight Champion and of course was inducted into the hall of fame, where I stand with some other fantastic talent that I respect, and I participated in my final match against Brakman Wylder at Wrestleseries 3.
What would you consider the top moment of your career to date, and why?
I would have to say one of my personal favorite moments was the reveal of Benbe as taking control of the company the very first time and his first move re-branding the company from XWA to VWE. I feel that this was a very important part that it really brought out the type of power one person can have in the wrestling community. From commentator, to super star, to chairman
Do you have a dream tag team partner and/or stable?
If I had my pick I would like to work with Brakman Wylder again, Adune Snowpaw I feel would be another wrestler I would like to do a tag team with at some point in time, of course I also had endless fun when Seth Cameron and I did the stable TNR and caused havoc but all in all I have a respect for almost everyone and like to see everyone have a chance to work with them.
Do you have any dream achievements to accomplish in SL Wrestling?
To be honest I feel like I am very privileged to be in a spotlight role of one of the greatest places and with such fantastic people, I honestly am happy exactly where I am, and that I get to work with people I respect and admire like Jenn Parkin in an official business.
Do you have any dream matches, or wish for any dream matches?
I would like to work with people like David Hawk Actor, Cody Houley, Acheron Nightfire, and if I were to continue the list we'd be here all night but there are so many people I have respect for and would love to work with. Though in terms of type of match I always love to do something new and innovative for a match type that really make people sit up and go wow.
What have been your favorite 5 matches in any federation?
I'd have to say in no particular order, Brakman versus myself at Wresleseries 3, The three stages of Hell match with myself and Seth Cameron, The scaffolding match between Vendetta and Akasha is definitely one that sticks in my head, The match between Adune Snowpaw and Bryce Ketterly at Six Feet Under last year and I'd have to say also the wrestleseries 2 match that was the hardcore match between Jenn Parkin and yourself Tyress
If you could play Booker for one day and could pick any wrestler male or female, who would you pick for the Main Event?
I'd have to say I would like to see perhaps a mixed tag match with a few different people that include Acheron Nightfire with perhaps Jenn Parkin (mainly because I want to see her back in the ring :P) up against the likes of kimberly soulstar and I really can't pin just one other person down of who I'd like to see there are really so many of them. Perhaps Derrick Cult
What would you consider the top 5 feuds you've seen in SL wrestling?
'd have to say Adune and Bryce was a great one, the on and off fued between myself and Seth Cameron I do have to say I liked especially the major highlights of that moment, Loody Graves and Seth also had some great moments, Acheron Nightfire and Shinja Ugajin and I'd also have to say Akasha Faulkes and Vendetta had some good moments as well, and adding an extra one Nanny Gothly also had some great moments between her and I want to believe Kimberly Soulstar.
Who would you like to thank for being there during your adventures of SL wrestling?
I'd of course like to thank everyone, I know that may be a bit formulaic but really everyone I have interacted with has helped me to where I am that includes Seth, Jenn, yourself, Adune, Benja, Brakman, Wildfire really everyone who has ever been on the roster I would have to thank.
Who inspires you in SL wrestling and why?
Again this goes down to any one I've seen step in the ring pick up a mic it has all been amazing and I have loved this journey and look forward to the future of it.
Who inspires you in RL wrestling and why?
Well I definitely would have to say I've seen magnificent things from the likes of CM Punk, The Rock, and one of the others I took a bit of inspiration from Christian and Edge.
What would you consider the top 3 federations in SL, and why do you think so?
Well VWE of course because it is my home, I also have to say I respect DCWF because of how long they have been in the game and HAWX for proving a home to all female wrestlers.
What is your opinion of the SL wrestling community?
I think that there is so much good that can come from it when people work together and work to entertain everyone because I do believe that is why we are all here is to put on the best show any one can see.
As we know, there's a lot of rumors in SL wrestling. Some are good, some are bad. What do you think causes these rumors?
I think just situations that people get themselves into and put meaning behind it where there are none or just people who don't want to talk to others I think perhaps which is a shame.
