Nova's interview with Deathstrike

I'd like to thank Death for taking her time to make this interview an all commentator Interview! enjoy!

Give us a Small Introduction of yourself

Death: Hello I am Death. i am a staff member of UHW. I have been a commentator for over a year now and i also work for VAW as manger to Kravyn Moore

how Long have you been commentating?

Death: my first show was on Halloween at UHW over a year ago. before that i was Shinja Ugajin's manger

did anyone train you to commentate?

Death: Nick Patrick Halderman did

is there anyone you Love to commentate for? ( person in a match )

Death: well, i would love to see Jenn Parkin wrestle Shinja, i think that would be a real match of skills

Which part of Commentating do you enjoy the most?

Death: knowing that us as commentator helped put on a great show, that we helped these amazing wrestlers shine and keep the fans coming back for more. To know what we do helps out the show in the way that it does

how would you rate yourself as a Commentator?

Death:  i would say an 8 out of 10, i know there is so much more to learn and adjust to . and with each show i do relax more and learn from watching the wrestlers of all the hard work they put in. i would not say i am the best at all, but i know i have a big fan base. i was shocked the first time i saw people so happy to see me at the table cheering for me

do you think the matches would be as interesting without a commentator as they are now with a commentator team?

Death: well honestly i think they are equals. it is a lot of hard work on both sides, and one can not do well with out the other, like watching a match for 10 minutes with no sound , just sitting there, sure some fans might stay for the love of their favorite wrestler but others would get bored. same goes for commentating, if there is no match, there is nothing to talk about ,

what would you say is the Most important part to know what to do as a commentator and what to Not do?

Death: as a commentator, i would say you have to know what is in character and out. that what you say can make or break a wrestler's storyline. whether if you like the wrestler or not, during the show they are in character and it is not personal. so if you have any hard feeling for some one in a match ooc wise, leave it outside the show. stay professional and kind

How would you Sell a Heel Character that is in the ring during a promo?

Death: well being that i am not a good nor am i a heel , it depends. for example, i love honely bluntz when she come out for my character always see her as happy, so i might come up with funny ways to explain why she is doing something go bad, but for a character like jasper, i might call his character, not him personally a cheater for he cheats to win. i also might remind the crowed of what he did last week and how wrong and mean it was some times it can be hard for my character Death loves every one

What is the worst thing a Commentator can do in a match in your opinion?

Death: the worse thing is to go out of character and just straight up bully the wrestlers in the ring and break them down and attacking them out of character. if you have a personal issue with some one, do it professionally at the right time and place. not during a show with all the fans and co-wrestlers watching  you want to take them to the side privately and talk like adults

do you have any Favorit Wrestler?

Death:  yes i have a few, Kravyn Moore, Keiran Darkwatch and Revenant for the men, as for the ladies, Tyress and Maxine darkwatch are always a joy to watch. it is the energy that they all bring to the ring and how focus they get

do you have any team you like?

Death: in Uhw, Maxine and Keiran when they dress up as the most random characters, they always make the matches so much fun, and just a joy to watch those to brain storm

Who would win in an all out Fang Clan Match? ( Anarchy Vs Tara Vs Krimsom Vs Toxic)

Death:  hehe i would say that would be hard to pick , but most likely anarchy for she seems to be more of the leader of the fangs, but then again Toxic can hold her own.

who would win in an all out Commentary Match between Nick Patrick Vs Kaeko Freenote?

Death: well having sit between the both of them and seeing how they go at it sometimes , i would say Kaeko, she is very quick to the draw and funny to match. she has great memory of matches history

what is your opinion about SL Wrestling community?

Death: it is like a rollercoaster , it has it's highs and lows, but in all and all it is a strong group of people with passion and heart. we ll have the same goals to put on an amazing show each week and to keep the fans excited for the matches to come. and we all do it for free out of the love for wrestling

Any last words?

Death: Wrestling is a joy that is shared all over the world and i am proud and very happy we have it here in SL, and i hope it continues to grow for the better whetheryour a wrestler or commentator or maybe a fan,. Truth is we all need each other to make each show amazing

Also dont forget to visit those who helps plugging the blog! those being VWE, UHW, APW, VAW and HAWX! if you'd like to be plugged on the Blog and have a logo with link on here hit me up! and we'll see what we can do ;). until next time!

Nova's interview with Maven Gothly

I'd like to thank Maven for his time to get this interview done specially with me being sick and all. but i hope you all will enjoy it I did! so enjoy!

Give us a small introduction about yourself.

Maven Gothly: Well I am Maven Gothly. I'm a no bs type of guy who prides himself in his ability to never give up. I dont try to rub people the wrong way but tend to, But hey what can ya do right? Not everyone's gunna like ya

If you have a Stage/Nickname, how did you come about it?

Maven Gothly: Well I call myself "The Mave Machine." The Nickname did not begin in the ring. But I brought it in because it describes the way I conduct myself. I come at you with everything I got, nothing less. My endurance has at times been noted as astounding
It originally began as a nickname the Ladies gave me lol

How did you find out about Second Life and made you join?

Well I started in Imvu and was brought in by a friend. She Brought me in, and left me alone.  Plain as day

How did you find out about SL Wrestling and how did you come to join it?

Maven Gothly: I actually ran into sl wrestling on a day of exploring and searches. I thought to myself, "I love Wrestling, I'll see what comes up!" And thus I ran into SLCW. As I walked into the door, I was offered a concussion I later found out was an old school SLCW Chair shot, and as a ignorant noob I made the mistake of accepting. From that first Chair shot I was dead set on becoming a part of this Sl Wrestling

What made you decide to join SL Wrestling?

Maven Gothly: I love Wrestling, Plain and simple. I got one taste and became an addict. Hell even the owner's impatience with me, being the big annoyance of the time couldn't deter me. I mean yeah I coulda sat in the crowd. I coulda enjoyed that shows. But why do that? This is SL You can become what you want. So I became a bean farmer, I mean Wrestler! XD

How long have you been in SL wrestling?

Maven Gothly: Well I joined Secondlife in July of 2008, and I signed up as soon as they would let me at 30 days old, so about 4 1/2 years.

What federations have you been in?

Maven Gothly: I've been in Quite a few, some not long enough to drink a cup of coffee others a while. so I will go with the ones I was actively involved in. I started in SLCW, but never got the chance at a hud, back then alpin I think had to make them himself. I stuck around VWA, But my first times of wrestling were at, GEW, and MWA. I've wrestled PRWW quite a few times, had some matches at AHWF. Of course my own EVW. I had a stint in the beginning of UWS. But my Wrestling became full time when I finally got a good position in OEW. From there I watched the whole DWA times and Wrestled it. Actually helped them out alot when they needed it. Then I wrestled, IW, and the whole VWWA. Currently Today I remain at APW.

Who was your trainer(s)?

Maven Gothly: I really cant say I had a Formal Trainer. I really Developed my own skills by watching others and Asking for advice. Now I do Have someone I consider a Mentor. That would Be Derrick Zane. He's the closest thing I've had to a Trainer. He's Been a good friend of mine since I started IW. He's Taught me alot

Who did you face in your first SL wrestling match and what was the result?

Maven Gothly: God It's been a while and, Old Man Gothly's Memory is failing. The First Match I truely Remember, Was at a fed I did forget to mention. It was Scorf's EVWF, Against my once best friend Stixx Mayhem. I dont remember the outcome, But I do remember we always talked about a rematch. Never happened.

What color(s) are your in-ring attire?

Maven Gothly: Currently my colors are White, Red, And Black.

What is the name of your finishers, and what are they?

Maven Gothly: My main Finisher is the Welder's Flash. It is a Inverted Crucifix Cutter, very nasty. My other is H.O.C. (Head On Collision) which is a discus clothesline.

What do you think makes your character special?

Maven Gothly: Well I think it is my personality, my no bs take to the world, my tendency to attack an issue head on. It's me but without the hesitation. Totally unhinged and confident in his abilities.

What have you accomplished in SL wrestling?

Maven Gothly: Well Actually if you look behind me here in my office their right there. The AWF Triple Edge Threat Championship. I pretty much Revolutionized the thing. I've won the APW World Heavyweight Championship, and walked it into the Main Event of The First and Only Starbrawl, where it was unified in the VWWA World Championship. I may have lost, but the moment of that main event, and the story it told is, an accomplishment of it's own in my mind.

What would you consider the top moment of your career to date, and why?

Maven Gothly: VWWA Starbrawl. Walking into the main Event of the big one as Champion. It made my career whole. It's that moment every wrestler in sl works for.

Do you have a dream tag team partner and/or stable?

Maven Gothly: A dream tag team or stable.... have a few. I'd love to Work with Derrick Zane. Hell Stick me with Ryan Fury and Derrick. Mad Respect I have for both of them. We have the mouthpeices and the skill to make it great. I'd love to work with Curt Bombastic in a tag form. Hell If I wasant always on so bad terms with him, I wanted to work with Stixx.

Do you have any dream achievements to accomplish in SL Wrestling?

Maven Gothly: Yes, A lot of those wont happened because of stupid stuff I've done in the past so, I'll focus on the one that I could do. My dream is to usher in a new era of sl wrestling. I've always been a firm believer that no matter how good you are, their is always further to go. I want to close that gap of realizsm between sl wrestling and Rl Wrestling. I wanna do it with my own actions in the ring, and on the mic.

Do you have any dream matches, or wish for any dream matches?

Maven Gothly: Their is a few. I'll list the guys who I want a shot at. Derrick Zane, Broly Blackheart (which I'm getting a chance for At APw Night of Destiny), Davidhawk Actor, Derrick Cult, Shinja, and hell as much as I've done to the guy and he's ripped my head off, I'd like to step over the ropes in a match with Seth Cameron

What have been your favorite 5 matches in any federation?

Maven Gothly: As far as been in, Me vs Jw Beeswing at EVW One Night only, The VWWA World Championship Match at Starbrawl. as Far as seen, Ashe Derothchild (not curveo) vs Keiro Star at EVW One Night only, and the Cage of Annihilation Match at EVW Hardcore Holidays  I think thats only 4 but I'm very picky

If you could play booker for one day and could pick any wrestler male or female, who would you pick for the Main Event?

Maven Gothly: I'll show ya one of both just to give you a dual Perspective. Male, I'd pick Davidhawk Actor vs Derrick Zane vs Curt Bombastic vs seth cameron in a fatal 4 way Elimination style. Quite a match I think. as Far as Female I'd go Honey Bluntz vs. Jenn Parkin vs Anarchy Fang in a falls count anywhere match

What would you consider the top 5 feuds you've seen in SL wrestling?

Maven Gothly: Well theirs the Curt/Seth feaud. some Heat there. Scott Hex/ Broly blackheart was pretty good. But My all time fave I was involved in was the whole S.E.X. (Sports Entertainment Xtreme) Storyline well thought out and was good while it lasted.
I guess that only 3 but again picky picky Maven

Who would you like to thank for being there during your adventures of SL wrestling?

Maven Gothly: I'd like to thank Derrick Zane, Not only was he a good friend, but he taught me alot and made me what I am today. I'd like to Thank Broly Blackheart, the guy is a nut, I think he's more sane then alot, great friend. And I'd like to Thank Scott Hex. He's the most cool and collected guy I know, I could trust the man with my life, and he always has my back.

Who inspires you in SL wrestling and why?

Maven Gothly: It's the guys I work with on a daily basis the ones I just thanked. Their friendship, has inspired me to keep goin when things hit the fan. And they have inspired me to be better.

Who inspires you in RL wrestling and why?

Maven Gothly: 2 guys. Tommy Dreamer for one. He stayed with ECW till the end. Thats what I call Dedication. Something I try to do myself, though I don't always stick to. And Cm Punk. He made it to the top on his terms. Not by kissing up but by good old fashioned hard work

What would you consider the top 3 federations in SL, and why do you think so?

Maven Gothly: What I call top federations are the ones most relevant, I will say them in order. HAWX, I mean common their always relevant, always going outside the box, they got great people working there. APW, the new commers who have come a long way, we have always tried to push the bar up. Finally VWE, they have some of the most loyal people around and some of the best production. Very highly organized, for a bit they were slowing down but now their getting back up there.

What is your opinion of the SL wrestling community?

Maven Gothly: I think it's full of a lotta diffrent opinions, alotta diffrent people. Some nice others not so much. To every person their own place. Some say their is no community. I say their is. But it's like highschool and divided into cliques. You just gotta find your group and you'll be good

As we know, there's a lot of rumors in SL wrestling. Some are good, some are bad. What do you think causes these rumors?

Maven Gothly: Some are caused by people who wanna start fights, or cause others trouble, others by miscommunication, others by just plain ignorance. I say before you go spreading shit round, get your fact straight, go to the person, get all the sides of the story. All it takes is a a nice im or a few.

Ten questions game! I will say 10 names/words. Say the first thing that pops into your head.

Reader's questions!

Broly Blackheart asks:
whats deadlier a blow to the head, or wario's super fart

Maven Gothly: God damn broly that nut! Well all I'm gunna say is If I have to torment Broly I'll stick Wario in his office.

Drewski Hoxley asks:
Are there any personal regrets you've made in your SL Wrestling career?

Maven Gothly: Yes Many of them I wont speak of in a public forum. But I will say a few decisions I have made Have cost my career to not be as good as I would have liked it to be. But then again I cant Change the Past.  I can Only change the here and now to influence the future.

Anything else you would like to say?

Maven Gothly: I'd like to say I believe sl Wrestling right now is in a slump. Relevance is at a low. I believe change needs to be made. We can put on better shows but only when we quit settling for the status quo. There is....so much more to learn.

Nova's interview with Sierra Charisma

I'd like to thank Sierra for her time to make this interview. with how her week has been. I liked reading her answers and i am sure you'll enjoy it! so enjoy! and this counts to whole 50 Interviews! halfway to 100 thank you all for reading these interviews without you readers I wouldn't have kept going but like i said enjoy!

Give us a small introduction about yourself.

I'm the Heart Breaker, Sierra Charisma. I've been wrestling in SL for just about five years now. Been in DCWF, VWE...and my "little sister" was a referee in HAWX

If you have a Stage/Nickname, how did you come about it?

"The Heart Breaker" was just something I came up with while trying to think of something that portrayed the image I wanted to project. Sexy, but tough at the same time.

How did you find out about Second Life and made you join?

My RL boyfriend...he's away a lot so we used it as a more fun way to chat, years ago. Turns out he didn't like it, but I became an addict.

How did you find out about SL Wrestling and how did you come to join it?

A combination of total boredom and sheer luck....I wanted something to do in SL cause it was just fascinating to me, and this was back when the only options really were dancing, shopping, or hanging out. Just through coincidence, I ran into someone who names was also Sierra, and we bonded after we found out we had the same rez day as well. She was a designer and helped me get some modeling and spokesperson jobs in pose ball feds and I made some money but that scene wasn't really for me. Just through a search I found DCWF and was instantly blown away. I went to the old old arena and the first two people I met were Eric Stuart (who laughed at me) and Morpheus, whit hit on me xD. The best person to walk in was Lee Valentine who I was really inspired by. She was like super nice to me right away and encouraged me a lot. So I applied and I regret it to this day xD

What made you decide to join SL Wrestling?

The challenge. Ive always loved entertaining and the more I learned about the ins and outs of how the matches and shows were made I was like...ok, i have to do this, its perfect.

How long have you been in SL wrestling?

about five years...five...loong...years

What federations have you been in?

DCWF-VWE-DCWF...and Ive played a role quite a bit in HAWX but was never really an official member

Who was your trainer(s)?

I don't mean not to name names, but really, everyone Ive worked with up until this day.

Who did you face in your first SL wrestling match and what was the result?

Misaki...and I lost like all rookies do xD

What color(s) are your in-ring attire?

Red and black...that will never change ;o)

What is the name of your finishers, and what are they?

I have three. I guess the ones I'm most known for is the K.A.B.O. kick, and just to set the record straight, KABO is an anagram for "Knock A Bitch Out". Its Kofi Kingstons Trouble In Paradise kick. The impact move I call "The Downfall"...its a type of reverse Pedigree. My submission is "The Heart breaker Lock" which is a type of triangle choke.

What do you think makes your character special?

Well, I try to do out of the ordinary things. For instance, if I see something done the same way over and over, I'll try to do it differently. I innovate. I put a lot of thought and detail into everything I do. I know I'll never be perfect but I try to be. I practice rehearse all the time. I think that's what makes me stand out.

What have you accomplished in SL wrestling?

My first year in wrestling, I won "promo of the year". I was proud of that because I was still a rookie and that's what made me realize the "wrestling nerds" liked my work. In VWE I was Women's champion (in spite of them not having it on their wall AHEM! ;o) Also in VWE, I co-won Feud of the year" with Vendetta, which id have to say I was very honored because our names weren't Seth or Loody. ;o) Ive also managed to infuriate every fed owner Ive had, which is quite an accomplishment itself xD

What would you consider the top moment of your career to date, and why?

A non wrestling moment, oddly enough. After the match where I lost the VWE Women's title, i was approached separately by two different fans who said I inspired them to try wrestling in SL. One of them went on to hold the same title I did, and words cant describe how much that meant to me. I never did this for awards, having people entertained and inspired to try something new and exciting is something no one can take away from you.

Do you have a dream tag team partner and/or stable?

Ive very lucky, Ive already worked with my dream tag team partner, Lee Valentine. I do think Lee, myself, Lily, and Isabelle would own everyone though xD

Do you have any dream achievements to accomplish in SL Wrestling?

Yes, my dream achievement in SL wrestling would be to cut out all the drama, politics, and bullshit.

Do you have any dream matches, or wish for any dream matches?

Akasha. Hell In A Cell.

What have been your favorite 5 matches in any federation?

In no particular order: Celtdans retirement match just recently in DCWF which i was so happy that my "little sister" reffed. Akasha vs Vendetta triple cage match would be another.  Shinja vs Surik in the wooden cage thing was incredible. Lee vs Lily vs Maxine at wrestle series for personal reasons. Last but not least, Isabelle's farewell match from HAWX, another I was very happy that my blond alter-ego got to ref.

If you could play Booker for one day and could pick any wrestler male or female, who would you pick for the Main Event?

Shinja vs Mythil...that needs to go down xD

What would you consider the top 5 feuds you've seen in SL wrestling?

Alpin vs Eric and Seth vs Numbers ;o) Akasha vs Vendetta, Lily vs Isabelle...and i really hate to mention myself, but Vendetta and I really tore it up.

( SLCW Vs DCWF Thing and VWE Vs DCWF )

Who would you like to thank for being there during your adventures of SL wrestling?

Easy answer finally xD Id like to thank Naudia Nadezda for quite literally, being there. She's a true fan of what we do and she's figuratively been there for me since I started. She was the first ever outside person to compliment my work. Id also have to mention all the members of "Team Sierra" who Ive pestered to come to my shows and actually seem to enjoy it and get into it. Last but not least, Jack Citron for standing by me when I made a tough and unpopular decision. That's a real man. :)

Who inspires you in SL wrestling and why?

anyone who innovates, takes a risk with something new. people who I watch and say to myself "that's who I want to work with".

Who inspires you in RL wrestling and why?

I'd have to say my first influence was Melina Perez. She was the first RL wrestler I connected with when I started doing SL wrestling. She was what I wanted "The Heart breaker" be. Attractive, but not a "diva". Melina also has the skill to back it up, much like Trish Stratus. My biggest influence, which I like is somewhat obvious is Gail Kim. She innovates and thinks outside the box. My new "hometown" of Seoul is my nod to her. Recently, Also, I never thought so CM Punk has turned out to be a big influence recently. I can relate to his anti-authority, anti-bullshit personality.

What would you consider the top 3 federations in SL, and why do you think so?

no one could do this list w/out saying VWE, if for production values alone. HAWX is like the "little engine should have never" but just keeps going and turned out a lot of top talent. Also, kinda under the radar is VWWF. They're out there and put together a good show.

What is your opinion of the SL wrestling community?

Are you looking for a "pipe" bomb asking me this? xD Ill look at this two ways...Business and personal. Business wise, Celtdan was right. This whole scene needs a kick in the ass. Theres waaay too much politics, way too much drama, way too much rewarding friends and "family" and way too much giving the same people rewards over and over. Theres people who's time has come and they need to step aside for the good of their fed because they're holding back its potential. People shouldn't be held back because of petty nonsense. There needs to be more concentration on training the new generation of wrestlers not just how to do a rope shoot, but how to think. Think outside the box. Think of details. Think of how to blow the audience away. And if we did that, maybe we'd actually get a audience besides the community that actually comes to shows. maybe true fans like Naudia would come back, because each fed wouldn't just be a big "pat on the back" to the managements friends. If it doesn't happen soon, i fear for the  scene.
Personally: I guess the things that saddens me the most about what I just wrote is we ARE a great group of people. We ARE creative enough and we ARE smart enough to shake things up, but we've become complacent.  The SL wrestling community is like my SL family. We may fight, sometimes bitterly, but they way we all pull together when one fed gets griefed or when theres a charity show to do...that's inspiring. In spite of all the things Ive been called publicly and privately, I dont think anyone would accuse me of not loving any person who had the drive and courage to put themselves in a ring with something they created and not been afraid to fail. We are the most entertaining thing in SL. We need to start

As we know, there's a lot of rumors in SL wrestling. Some are good, some are bad. What do you think causes these rumors?

Honestly? Its the people in power. They dont like it when they're challenged, and that's one tool they use to get back at people. If we're honest with ourselves, imo that's the only answer. Your "workers" cant really do any damage with rumors. Its a one way street.
