Nova's interview with the Gavel Adune Snowpaw

want to thank Adune Snowpaw for taking his time for this interview he had some good answers I am sure you all will enjoy reading!. and as always if you're interested to be interviewed either hit me up on Facebook or Second Life! Tyress Serevi. now enjoy the interview!

give us a small introduction about yourself

I'm Adune Snowpaw, I'm a wrestler for Virtual Wrestling Entertainment. I'm moniker is The Gavel. I'm from Montreal, Quebec, Canada and 29 years of age.

IF you have a Stage/nickname: How did you get it?

Ah, As I mentioned before my moniker / stage name is The Gavel. And I came up with it to be honest.

How did you come up with the Gavel?

When the time came to figure out a gimmick for me. At first I was going for a hitman / assassin type gimmick. I was thinking of being a heel to be honest. But at the time there were so few babyfaces so I had no choice but to try and be a babyface. And being a fan of comic books, two characters came to mind for inspiration and those are Judge Dredd and Batman. I thought it would be cool to incorporate the brutal and ruthless law enforcement aspect of Judge Dredd with the mysterious and dark figure of Batman. At first I was thinking of The Judge, But I reasoned when someone hears the Judge they'll think of an old man in a black robe. But the Judge's Gavel has a power to it, The hard clank of it when it's struck gets your attention and tends to even be abit scary, Plus it was unique. So I went with that.

How did you Find Second Life and what made you join?

I joined Seconf Life because a friend of mine at the time really wanted me to join her there. So I tried it out, at first I wasn't impressed and was sturggling to get used to the interface and I felt so lost. Plus her and I had a falling out and I stepped away from Second Life for nearly a year after that. But that's how I found second life, it was to please a friend of mine.

How did you get into SL wrestling?

This is abit of a touchy subject now, knowing what the current state of affairs are. But I got in literally the moment I discovered there was such a thing as SL wrestling. I've loved wrestling ever since I was a kid, And really the cliche of you can find everything in Second Life came to mind. I was curious to find out if there was such a thing as Professional Wrestling on Second Life, So I typed a search and VWE was the first thing that came up, And TPed there. I was impressed to see a massive arena so I went in and walked around, I was immediately impressed. Really I decided to sign up on a whim, I had no qualifications whatsoever but I figured I had nothing to lose in trying. So I went to fill an application. As I'm filling it, Loody Graves shows up and started talking to me, we chatted back and forth and gave me an interview right away. And basically aftet 5 minutes of talking, telling him I had no experience in SL wrestling at all, I'd have to be trained from scratch. He hired me anyway.

What Made you decide to get into SL Wrestling?

A leap of faith is the best thing to call it. I failed into getting into wrestling in real life cause of my height RL, But I love wrestling, and it's something I really wanted to do. So I figured why not try it on SL, what have I got to lose? And thankfully enough it worked out

What type of Weapon would you say would represent You?

A Mauser Karabiner 98 K. (A Mauser carbine 98 K.)

do you have a Dream achievement to accomplish in SL wrestling?

I've already accomplished it. I'm a well respected wrestler and I have fans. And most of all I can entertain people. As far as I'm concenred my career has been a tremendous success.

What do you think makes Your Character Special?

You'd have to ask the fans for that one. Personally I think it's because I'm able to be a dark, anti-hero type character type without falling into the bad guy trap. Plus I do cool things like disappear in smoke, play mind games. But most of all, Part of the interest for me in the character is that he is growing, changing and is not omnipotent. Probably the same reasons why Batman is so popular.

what is the name of your finishers and what are they?

My primary finisher is called 'The Verdict' it's a variation of Randy Savages elbow drop. And my secondary finisher is 'The Contempt' which is more or less a sharpshooter. I wanted to do a variation on it, but I've been unable to find an animator who's not busy.

how long have you been in SL wrestling?

Ever since June 2010. My how time flies....

do you have any Dream Matches?

Ok, Where I am involved in. I always wanted to go up against Seth Cameron, Unfortunately he retired before I got the privilage. I'd also love to go up against Jenn Parkin to be honest, I think it would be a facinating match. And also having an Iron Man match against Brakman Wylder would be great, These are people I never got to face unfortunately. Well that's not true , technically I did wrestle them, but it was the championship scramble match we did, And I got the shit kicked out of me for most of it. As for matches I'd like to see, Well I'd love to see Bryce in a 5 VS 1 handicap match. Also I would love to see Benbe VS Brakman, And finally Jackson VS MadMax I think they would be facinating together in match.

if you could pick 5 Matches in any Federation which has been your favorites?

I haven't seen much outside of VWE. Only been to a few DCWF events. But my favourite matches. Brakman Vs Seth Cameron at Wrestleseries II was fantastic. The Barbwire Asylum match with Jenn Parkin VS Elisa Riddler was well done. Benbe VS Alexius during the Main Event at Edge. Elimination Royale 2011 was fantastic. The Alexius VS Brakman Ladder match at Beachbrawl was pretty Epi

How long have you been in your current Fed?

I've never left VWE, so ever since June 2010 to the present day

what have you accomplished in SL wrestling?

I have become a well known name in VWE and to the fans. I get alot of compliments and praises from fans and friends alike on the work that I do. That's the most rewarding of all. But of course winning the Canadian Belt and the United States belt were very rewarding and I can't thank enough the champions who dropped them to me so professionally. It's more a testiment to them then to me. I just hope when I time came to do the same for Benbe and Alexius I did them justice as well, pardon the pun.

do you have a Dream Tag team Partner/Stable members?

Well, I's love to be teamed up with Jenn Parkin, think of the possibilities. And it would be alot of fun. As for stables, I have never been a fan of stables to be honest. They tend to overstay their welcome and get stale very fast.

if you could be the booker for 1 day and you could pick Any wrestler male or female from any fed who would you pick for the Mainevent?

I would put Jenn Parkin VS Bryce Ketterly in a no DQ Iron Man match. I would watch that match with a bucket of popcorn.

who trained you?

Strange, I never got one trainer. Got some instruction with Derrick Cult, But I was the one teaching him psychology XD. And I also got instruction from *sigh* Loody Graves... feels like acid on my tongue but is the truth none the less.

if you have a top 1 moment since the beginning of your Carrer to now can you tell us about that and why?

My top moment was the match I had with MadMax at VWE Massacre 2010. It was my first Free Per View, I was brand new and nervous beyond belief. And after the match, I got IMs galore with people going 'HOLY SHIT, WOW!' 'YOU ARE THE BEST!' 'WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN ALL MY LIFE!?' etc. I felt so gratified that I touched people so profoundly, that I made them forget this was a staged match and they really got into it, they were convinced and emotionally invested by it. I had done what a good wrestler is supposed to do, entertain and put asses in seats. I was close to tears from happiness after that.

is there anyone you'd like to thank for being there since you began your adventure in SL wrestling?

Of course, though before I do give my thanks, there's one thing I want to be made clear.I do owe Loody alot since he hired, and took some time to train me. He would be at the top of my list had Loody not stabbed me and everyone else in the back, I'm greatful for what he has done for me, But what he has done after caused more harm for VWE then the good he did me in the past. So basically FUCK YOU LOODY,  Now I owe thanks to Seth Cameron, he's been nothing but upfront and honest with me and gave me chances he didn't have to. I want to thank Derrick for taking the time to bring me up to speed on the mechanics of SL wrestling. Benbe Kirax and Wildfire Morgwain, they were there at the table during my finest moments. And last but certainly not least, Everyone I had a match with who took the time to make me look good, be professional and were just a joy to work with. I owe each and every one of you a debt I can't repay

If you have been in more then One Federation how many have you been in and what was the names?

None, I've only wrestled for VWE.

do you have anyone that inspires you in SL wrestling? and why?

Brakman Wylder is a big inspiration because he is so good in the ring, I can only hope to be half as good as he is. Seth Cameron cause he was one of the best on the mic and he knew how to mess with the crowds minds. And Jenn Parkin, She proved to me that Hardcore can be done right despite my prejudice against it.

Do you have anyone that inspires you in RL wrestling and why?

My biggest inspirations would be Bret Hart, I idolized him growing up, I loved his work in the ring, he was so smooth and precise in his wrestling, he wasn't flasy and he was practical, I admired that so much. Though he's hardly an inspiration for promos. Macho Man Randy Savage was probably my earliest inspiration, he seemed larger then life, even comic book like, what kid doesn't want to be that? Plus his match with Ricky Steamboat at Wrestlemania III made me an instant fan. And finally Mark Calloway (AKA The Undertaker) I always had a fondness for dark characters, and where many have tried, He did it right, Even going on strong today, how can that not be an inspiration

If you have custom Attire what is the colors?

My colours are black and an icy blue. I tend to go for simplicity. Black due to the darkness of the character, but also being unobstrusive and simple, not something to draw your attention. And the traces of the ice blue, I want to emphasise the cold aspect of the gimmick, You get a sense he is unfeeling and means what he says.

as we know theres alot of rumors in SL wrestling some are bad some are good what do you think causes these rumors?

People who have nothing better to do or enjoy the misery in their lives that they are just itching to cause trouble for others. Really it's not only petty it's pathetic. If I have a problem with you, I'll say it to your face, Not start rumours. And be honest Ty how often are rumours good? Virtually never. And as we have seen rumours do little more then just cause grief and damage. And usually the reasons are so petty too, they'll start it because they're not in the spotlight yet, they're not world champion right now. Someone else got the match they wanted. I mean really this is bullshit I'd expect from first graders, And I have no respect for people like that. If you think I'm a piece of shit, or I'm undeserving of (inset item of choice here) tell ME the one it concerns. But no, people are just too fucking chickenshit to do that, so they'll resort to subterfuge. All over such trivial and petty things.

if you could name top 3 Feds which would they be and why?

Well, on top is VWE of course, We try our best to be of quality, we don't always succeed but at least we strive for it. Second would be OEW, I confess I thought very little of them at first but despite their rocky beginnings they managed to make themselves both professional and respectable, kudos to them. And finally DCWF for the simple reason of staying power, to have survived this long is worth a mention, it would be higher if they didn't have Numbers keeping it down.

what is your opinion on the "SL Wrestling Community"

To be honest, I'm done with them. The lack of maturity and the prevelance of petty drama and backstabbing was the last straw for me. Of all people, Loody Graves lieing through his teeth and harming us to start his promotion is unfortunately merely a symptom, the SL Wrestling Community is rife with such bullshit. Now that's not to say there aren't good respectable people in the community but they are few and far between and really it's been one drama case after another after another. They have proven incapable of reason, of buisiness acumen and even common sense. And worst of all, the cowardice of most of the community just makes me shake my head. Loody, you could have just fucking said you wanted to leave and open your own promotion but no that took more balls then you possess. And really I've seen for myself there's no low alot of these people won't stop to. Where there some maturity, less pride and open to reason? Every promotion would be able to coexsist, But no it's not enough that someone may succeed,
we also have to fail. I've seen it time and time again, and this recent incident with Loody is the last straw for me, I for one am done with the SL wrestling community. I'm staying with VWE for better or worse and when the time comes, wether it's for my retirement or VWE closes it's doors. I'm hanging up my boots and not wrestling on SL again. Mark my words.

any last words?

I need a drink
But seriously
I'm greatful for the few good people I have met, and have become friends with in my experiences with SL wrestling. You know who you are. But the Gavel will still exsist while VWE is around. even after I retire I'll still stick around. So until then *Gavel voice* JUSTICE....IS....FOR...EVER!
