Nova's Interview with Numbers Rossini

I'd like to thank Numbers who clearly is my hero of the day! as he saved the interview with the power of the Log! as i lost mine due to SL crashing -.- but enjoy the reading! and if you're interested to be interviewed hit me up! ;)

give us a small introduction about yourself

Numbers Rossini: Im Numbers Rossini Chairman of the DCWF for about a year and a half now. Lovin every minute of it.

IF you have a Stage/nickname: How did you get it?

Numbers Rossini: actually lol my wrestling nickname is The Bull, that nickname was given to me in RL by some people I worked with in Philly when I did work with inner city gangs and youth.
it kinda stuck

How did you Find Second Life and what made you join?

Numbers Rossini: Kinda heard about it here and there. When I was a kid I always thought about a game where youcan create all the content and was pretty much limitless, like living another life. When I heard about SL, I jumped on it.

how did you get into SL Wrestling?

Numbers Rossini: I invented SL in my head over 20 years ago. But I have zero programming skills so someone beat me to it lol

I was efedding a few years back, the efed broke up and one of the guys showed me old youtube of SLCW. I had been in sl about a year at that point and knew that starting the efed here was almost impossible. A couple months later I strolled into SLCW and demanded that they recognise my greatness.
Starting an efed here was impossible because there was no open or non exclusive system., The costs to make one would be high. Couldnt beat em so I joined em

What Made you decide to get into SL Wrestling?

Numbers Rossini: Mostly my ego. I was already a successful dancer and bike builder. I loved wrestling so why couldnt I top the charts here ya know.
Highest paid dancer in about 3 or 4 different clubs I was workin. Chicks dig me :P

do you have a Dream achievement to accomplish in SL wrestling?

Numbers Rossini: Well lets see, Im a formal world champion, hall of famer, Chairman of the DCWF....
interestingly enough thats only within the DCWF walls...
maybe a few years down the road, Id certainly accept a lifetime acheivement award from the whole of the wrestling community....
not cause I deserve one now....
but something like that shows you've made a positive contribution. I recon thats what its all about, not what you take, but what you give.

What do you think makes Your Character Special?

Numbers Rossini: No nonsense, no bullshit approach to everything. If I see a foul I call it, dont really care what people think. But....
its easy to say that and act like a hardon behind a keyboard, you have to live it as well.

what is the name of your finishers and what are they?

Numbers Rossini: Just one
The Bulls Horns
its a Torture Rack

how long have you been in SL wrestling?

Numbers Rossini: Since January of 09 so about 3 years now.

do you have any Dream Matches that you'd like to be in?

Numbers Rossini: I think the only person I havent Wrestled that Ive really wanted too is Derrick Zane, we move alot alike in promos and in the ring, it would be a well put togather show.
Thers lots of people id really like to tangle with in the ring. But if Im honest, I like watching more now, seeing some of the others pull off some of the stuff they do is awesome.

When Did You Retire from wrestling as wrestler?

At Wrestlefest III Febuary of 2011. It was definately time. I had been deep in running the DCWF by them, I couldn't do both, not without compromising both my integrity and my sanity. I dont think bookers should be regular wrestler, the temptation to strap yourself with a title is too great. I opted out of the ring. No regrets.

I know that DCWF has had some bad times what do you think is making DCWF Strong as a group?

Numbers Rossini: Thers a core group of us that refuse to give in. We've seen the good times as well and know there are more to be had. Everytime it gets tough we step up and overcome, others see that and are insipred, so the core group continues to grow.
And honestly, its kinda all for one and one for all, the self centered egos go as fast as they come. Noones bigger than DCWF, thats the first rule.

if you could name Five names that has been there and supported DCWF from Start to now who would you say has been the "Pillars" of DCWF?

Numbers Rossini: Theres many names..
Alpin Criss for starters, without him none of this would be possible for any group.
Then you have those who innovated then branched out into their own thing, Tenzan and Jenn among them.
they kinda paved the way for guys like me commin up, established the baseline for what I consider to be good wrestling.
Personality clashes aside of course.
Then Id say the glue that holds everything togather would be Kat Blackadder, she stepped up several times through several regime changes to emerge as a capstone, when alot of people were ready to fold up and give in.
And today, without my GMs Paula WIlcox and Vince Easterwood, things would be alot more difficult to manage, they bring something to the table that we absolutely need ... leadership.

if you could pick 5 Matches in any Federation which has been your favorites?,

Numbers Rossini: Celtdans retirement match against Ari Lane, the buildup was highly emotional and so was the match.
Loody vs Derrick for the title. I enjoyed working with Derrick when he was in SLCW, hes a pro. I watched the match on stream and for using the ACWPS, rarely have I seen it worked better.
Misaki vs Ceri at Backyard Brawl 2010 was an enormous pop. I havent seen that much effort in a match since to be honest.
My favorite match of all time though, was Vince vs Mythil for the World Title last year at Wrestlefest. Those two always put on high quality matches, and seeing Churchboy win the title did me a world of good. Noone deserved it more. That man had waited years and done all that was asked of him without complaint, and never once had a shitty match. It was his time.

guys like Mythil , Bazza, and Jericho are doing with the NexGen and the matches just keep getting better.

what have you accomplished in SL wrestling?

Numbers Rossini: More than I ever set out too Ill tell you that.
My application boasted wanting to be world champ. Check. At the first hall of fame induction after seeing Kitty get a statue, I knew thats where I wanted to be. Check. To have the crowd on its feet when I finally retired from the ring, they did. Check.

If you would have the chance to pick Two or Three People Female or Male who would you pick to form a tag team or a stable? and why

Numbers Rossini: LOL Interestingly enough I got to do that. With me Big Evil, Ari Lane, Mobeacha, and Vince as the MHP. That worked well for quite a while. I doubt I can conjure up a better group of people to work with in that way at this point. That stable just played.

if you could be the booker for 1 day and you could pick Any wrestler male or female from any fed who would you pick for the Mainevent and why?

Numbers Rossini: Id get all the bosses in one place ya know. Crul, Seth, Maxi, David, Vendetta, Maureenanne, and me. One rumble, lets get it out of our systems. Laugh about it and move on.

who trained you?

Numbers Rossini: Kat Blackadder. Shes proud to say she never had a finer student.
but
anyone can be trained to work the system, she showed me the prestige and value of what we were doing, and had a hand in me dropping the unhealthy side of my ego, to do better things for the DCWF.

if you have a top 1 moment since the beginning of your Career to now can you tell us about that and why?

Numbers Rossini: DCWF

I mean there were many great ones. Winning the DCWF title, the huge ovation right after my retirement match, I had been getting booed for years, for once the crowd loved me. Getting inducted into the DCWF Hall of Fame........
I think my finest moment though was when Drew had won the World Championship....
He was young, but the crowd loved him, we had built so much around it , it was the perfect storm, then he won....
He beat Vince and the crowd went nuts. In character I was livid, but I remember when it was over sitting there behind my keyboard with this huge shit eating grin on my face. 20 minutes later they were still celebrating....
I laughed and shut down sl for a it, opened a beer and relaxed, we had delivered, we had plain and simple just delivered. Those moments are what its about.

is there anyone you'd like to thank for being there since you began your adventure in SL wrestling?

Numbers Rossini: Kat first of all, she was right there with me from the beginning when I was a snot nose and kept me grounded. She still does to this day.
Vince and Paula, they are my rocks. They do the heavy lifting without complaint and always get the job done. Misaki for the amazing job she does with the building, she understands the vision and crafts it.
Alpin Criss was a huge influence on me AFTER I took my office. Ive had some very lengthy chats with him that have given me more perspective than anyone else.
All the great wrestlers who are out there now, and have come before me, those are the guys that innovate and shape this business every day. Without them were all dead in the water. Great staffs and performs make it all worth doing, they are owed much thanks for what they do.

If you have been in more then One Federation how many have you been in and what was the names?

Numbers Rossini: just the DCWF, heart is where the home is. I suppose though, had DCWF crumbled dead under a former owner, Ida joined up with HKWF, I always liked their product, never a bad thing to say about them.

do you have anyone that inspires you in SL wrestling? and why?

Numbers Rossini: See my thank you list. lol. i suppose anyone can inspire me at any given time, thats how great ideas are born. If I took an honest look back I can see where many people have kinda inspired me in different ways about different things over the years. Pinpointing it would be a disservice to the small yet important things.

Do you have anyone that inspires you in RL wrestling and why?

Numbers Rossini: I hadn't for a while. Im an old school WCW mark, those fuys were real. But Id say CM Punk has been awful damn real lately, he lays it out there and people eat it up, cause its truth. The truth spreads like a virus.

What kind of attire did you use when you were in the ring during a match?

Numbers Rossini: MAN PANTIES
I caught alot of hell for them too. But I wore them well and it was true traditional wrestling gear. Had a little silver Bull on the ass. Ver Rock like, very old school.
Alot of people said I looked like Goldberg, called me Numberg for a while. I took it as a compliment
Goldberg was badass

as probably most of us know theres some bad long blood between you and Seth... but my question is if you two were in a room what do you think would happen?

Numbers Rossini: LOL
i dunno how he really feels about me to be honest....
I saw alot of the things he did that made VWE successful, I also saw some of the lower brow stuff that went on. Not just rumor, mind you, first hand account stuff...
More to the point, I didnt see him taking responsiility for the things that were below board, blame always got shifted here there or to the board of directors......
the man has done some amazing things, I do credit him for that...but Im of the oppinion he should take responsibility for the things that went wrong, I suppe if I were in a room with him, Thats what Id tell him. Step up, do better, move on, thats the measure of a man isnt it?

: Do You think that DCWF and VWE will someday burry the Hatches and possible do a co-op Show in the future?

Numbers Rossini: I have no issue with the VWE as a company. It has alot of strengths, I personally and professionally recognise that. If the day comes I welcome it, and maybe with the new changing of the guard at VWE some old issues could get burried.

If The Wrestler Numbers where to go under the ring to pick an object what would that object be?

Numbers Rossini: A beer
It numbs the soul, try a numbweiser sometime. Its amazing.

what made you To Step in and Help preventing DCWF from falling?

Numbers Rossini: We found outselves without solid leadership long before the previous owners departure. Kitty got the top job and asked if Id be the VP...
it was a choice of do it, or risk the likelyhood of the DCWF going bye bye....
Kitty and I werent sure we could do all that needed to be done not only to keep the DCWF afloat, but to have it grow and thrive, we were hurting in those days.....
but if we didnt try we wouldnt know, so we decided to take a swing, and in many cases with alot of help and effort from our staff, we hit homeruns time and time again. We also screw stuff up too. But were not nearly afraid of that as we used to be. Failure is necesary for growth.

as there been any regrets?

Numbers Rossini: No regrets, just a few missteps here and there that Ive learned from and moved on from, I can't say there would be anything Id change out right, its been a good ride so far.

can you name your top 5 Favorite matches in DCWF?

Numbers Rossini: well three were on my top 5 all time

but Paula and Horses in an old school Brittish style match was hilarious. It was so dry and Brittish the crowd loved it and I couldnt stop laughing.

can you name your top 5 Feuds in any Fed of SL wrestling?

Numbers Rossini: Feuds come and go
Numbers Rossini: thanks kinda the point cant. Say I have a top 5 really, But Derrick Zane and Curt were always entertaining. Drew and Resis used to wow the crowds......
I do like feuds dont get me wrong, but I love the matches that they lead up to even more I think, those are what I really remember .
I do like feuds dont get me wrong, but I love the matches that they lead up to even more I think, those are what I really remember .

Any Special Match you'd like to see? if so between who?

Numbers Rossini: Special match, 30 Sl Female Wrestlers in a bra and panties Royal Rumble. Think of what that would do for ratings.

has it been easy being part-owner of a federation?

Numbers Rossini: Not even close.....

Theres so manyt hings you have to consider, what yuor fans want, what your talent wans, and whats over all best for teh company. Its a tough juggling act. You want to keep everyone happy, but sometimes you just cant. Im blessed though to have good instincts, and a staff that trusts those instincts......
That and that alone helps midigate the frustration of not being able to be and do all things for all people.....
Whats the toughest though.....
Is sometimes you wander around feeling unappriciated, and I dont think its intentional on anyones part. But you always catch the negative, very rarely a thanks or show of appriciation.......
noone wishes you to feel this way, but it does come with the territory when yer looking after so many different interest and areas.......
but when a new guy gets it, or someone steps up hard and works for that strap, or a match goes off beautifully, and the fans go nuts, it makes it worth it. So to my DCWF Staff, say thanks once in a while bitches, DAMN. LOL
Those of us with the top job do alot, that people dont see.
 But for me personally..
I love the DCWF and more than that the folks I work with. SO I cant say its not damn good.

as we know theres alot of rumors in SL wrestling some are bad some are good what do you think causes these rumors?

Numbers Rossini: Rumors....
well...
dipshits cause rumors
and dont get me wrong, gossipis juicy and we all wanna hear it, its human nature......
the key though is seperating fact from fiction and believing the truth over dipshits......
sometimes what you hear is true, sometimes its false. First decide why you care one way or the other, if you find that you dont, then its all chalked to dipshittery. Look I coined a new word....
but these rumors come from a very evil place that relishes in the demise of others and the destruction of rivals, rather that a true appriciation for success.

is there any certain Federation you would love to work with your federation?

Numbers Rossini: We do alot of good work with HAWX and uHw now. I like surounding myself with no nonsense, honest, hardworking people. I love the branching out we sometimes do. The tricky part is being part of a larger group and maintaining the integrity and prestige of your own brand. Its difficult but rewarding.

if you could name top 3 Feds which would they be and why?

Numbers Rossini: DCWF , because I said so
No I take that back
Heres a totally honest yet diplomatic answer....
Each fed, brings something unique to the table
so Ill tell ya whos best at what
VWE- has a solid and huge tradition that puts them at the top as far as production value s concerned.
HAWX- has hands down set the standard for womens wrestling in Second Life
uHw - Scared the hell out of alot of people when they started, they came out strong when noone thought they would, they are fighters and survivors
DWA- is without a doubt the most ambitious group out there, they dip there toes into alot of stuff, for better or worse, they have alot of drive.
DCWF- I think we train harder and continously put out the best match product out there. Our wrestlers beat themselvs up if thers a botch, we believe wrestling matters, and we prove it time and time again.

what is your opinion on the "SL Wrestling Community"

Numbers Rossini: I like community....
but I think my definition of it is different....
I myself live in a community, my neighbor drives a jeep grand cherokee, I do not
my other neighbor uses Bank of America, I do not...

a community is a group of people who can be from different places and do different things yet coexist.....

there are some, who think to be a community you gotta get everyone on yur particular program, thats been tried throughout history and failed. A community celebates its differences AND is similarities, doest suffer 'bigotry'. Im not sure the SL Wrestling community is there yet, but there are many who are trying, and very few who demand it be their way or under their flag.

Ten Question Game! i will say 10 names/words say the first thing that pops up in your head..

Any Last Word?

Numbers Rossini: Sure, and this is for the entire 'community'. Do what you do to the best of your ability, enjoy your success, learn from your failures. Dont take for granted the short time we get in this thing, everyone leaves SL eventually. Focus on your product and your game, dont waste time worrying about what others are doing or saying, you would only be wasting time.
